We recently purchased a number of pet beds for our new rescue. This was the best, by far. The others had very little cushioning on the bottom. If you fluff the pillows in the dryer as directed, this bed is springy, firm, sides stand up well, fabrics are sturdy and attractive. It’s not difficult to put together. Worth taking a few minutes. Then you can remove the pillows for washing. Plus, if you wanted a thicker bottom, you could put some kind of additional stuffing in the zipper opening. The usable area of 17” x 12” is perfect for our 15 lb Silkie-Pom with a long body. He likes to use the sides for a headrest, and they are quite rigid and supportive. Winner!

The quality of the stitching and fabric is good but it may not be as durable as I wished. My small dog already scratched out a whole in it. It has been just few months. The padding is decent and it retains the shape. I like that I can wash it without a problem. It wasn’t expensive so it’s not that big of a deal.

Don’t buy this if your dog is a chewer
This bed lasted a couple months until my 6 month old golden doodle found the zipper, chewed at it, and removed the stuffing. I washed and dried this several times before that happened, and the little grip dots on the bottom started falling off everywhere. I’m sure it’s because I used a dryer on this…I couldn’t wait for a hang dry every time. So do NOT put this in the dryer, even on low heat. The bottom is too thin for a chewer, so look for something with tougher fabric if you are in the same boat.

I have three small dogs and I hate the beds I previously bought because I had to put the whole bed in the washer anytime it got dirty, plus I didn’t feel like it gave them a real place to nestle into. Just something to lie on. I decided to try one of these. I love it because all of the batting comes out and you just toss it in the wash. You see the bed is made up of little compartments with hidden zippers, so you have the four sidewalls and then the bottom piece that you can remove very easily. My dogs love it because it is soft and they can nestle right in, so I bought two more.The one thing I didn’t like was the cushion for the bottom was really flat and pathetic. It said you had to let it sit to puff up for 72 hours, which I did for the first bed, but it was still pathetic, so I had some memory foam (2″ thick) from another project that I cut to size and put that in there instead and the boys are soooo happy with it. All three beds are like that. So I suggest if you want a great dog bed, go ahead and get one of these and just get some memory foam from the fabric store for the bottom. It will be a lot cheaper than a lot of those expensive memory foam dog beds and easy to clean too!

This bed is perfectly fine. It’s plenty soft. I had no problems assembling it. There were instructions. There aren’t a lot of smaller pet beds with removable washable covers, so I appreciate that this is an option.

I’ll be returning this because my cat is quirky and refuses to step on anything plush. That said, the product is of good quality. It does take some effort to assemble, and one bolster piece seems slightly larger than the other, but overall, it’s a decent cat bed.
