Great for puppies with Megaesophagus, but needs thinned first
Our pup is only 5 months old, 4lb chihuahua, and is diagnosed with Megaesophagus. This is a death sentence unless proper care and feeing techniques are followed. The number one rule is no free liquids, and all food must be like a slurry. I stir in some filtered water till we get a consistency which slowly flows down the side of the bowl when tilted. I like this canned food because it is pre-ground and packed tightly in the can. The next part of Rule Number One is to hold the animal upright for 20 or so minutes so the food will slide down into their belly and a slurry consistency works best. But only let them eat what their esophagus will hold, they will still be hungry until enough gets into their stomachs to satiate them. 4 small feedings per day.

Puppy Eats On His Own!
I have been struggling for months trying to get my small puppy to eat on his own and he’s given us quite a few hypoglycemic scares. I tried other foods and the only way he would eat is if I spoon fed him and even then it wasn’t enough calories. I finally tried Blue Buffalo (chicken) and he LOVES it! Begs for it, eats on his own, and eats enough to keep him healthy. The wet food is void of the slimy stuff you normally see in wet food and it seems like high quality ingredients. It does smell a bit strong on his breath but not in a terrible way – just strong chicken and thankfully some dental chews do away with that pretty easily! His fur has been a lot softer and healthier as well which is a plus of a healthy diet!

So far my 12 week old rescue from Aruba loves it!
I recently rescued a dog from Aruba. He was severely malnourished as most of the dogs out there are, and the foster home was feeding him iams brand. He didn’t seem to love it, and would barely eat it. I researched a hearty brand, with a reputable name, that contained valuable nutrients for a growing pup, and I chose Blue Buffalo. The transition was super easy, no upset stomach or loose stool at all. I mix this soft food with Blue Buffalo puppy hard food, and so far he’s loving it! I wish that there was more flavors other then chicken and turkey to be honest, but I feel that a majority of puppy foods contain chicken as the main ingredient because it is easily digestible. I immediately noticed a difference. He was more alert, seemed to have a bit more energy, and I noticed a HUGE difference in his skin and coat. Nice shine and super soft!! I will continue to purchase this food, and then if all goes well; I will transition him to the adult formula when the time comes. Reasonably priced, decent sized cans. Packages well, and very quick delivery

Consistency of Dry Play-Doh
Did you ever eat Play Doh as a child? If so, you know what this Puppy version looks like. It appears to be too “dry” for being a wet canned food. The dogs eat it ok, but there is absolutely no broth or liquid in the can. I’ve tried the Adult version of this same product and they like it much better; the ingredients are basically the same between the Puppy & Adult versions, but the Adult version is softer and includes a moderate amount of a nice rich liquid that our dogs really like.

great product. be aware it says 24 cans. this is only 12 cans. amazon has looked after me but i dont want anyone else to think they are getting 24 cans. at 50.00 for 12, its cheaper to get it from your local grocery store.
