Awesome Tent!
Great tent, easy to set up. It’s going to get tested in some major winds in a couple weeks, but I’m confident it’ll be up to the challenge. Also, the Big Agnes Rapide SL (tapered) fits inside perfectly.

Great budget tent
I’ve been using a six moons design lunar solo tent for a good while. It’s a great tent but I wanted more room and this tent checks the box. For one person it is very spacious with lots of headroom. It only weighs 11 ounces more than my lunar solo. Sets up easy with two trekking poles which I always have with me whenever I am backpacking. For the price it has a lot to offer.

First time trekking pole tent
I haven’t used a trekking pole tent before so I did a test setup. It’s a little confusing at first, but once you set out the guys it helps make sense. The tent has nice quality stitching and zippers and the vestibule is of a decent size. It could use a couple more pegs. It’s very light and small. Happy with the purchase so far but have to see how it does in the weather. Excellent value.

Great quality!
This is a really awesome tent! I’ve set up a few times! It took a few tries to get it set really well, but it’s a really nice tent! Extremely well ventilated, very light weight! I would buy this over so many others!I’m just a normal person so I can’t really afford the other ultralight tents so this is perfect for me. I don’t plan on ever getting another backpacking tent.Just set it up last night to undergo a night of 35 mph wind gusts and heavy rain. And a day of rain back to back. And while it did develop a puddle in the foot end of the tent (outside) the inside remained dry except for a puddle that I’ll have to investigate further.

Great lightweight backpacking tent for the price
Got this tent just in time for a 3 day backpacking trip. It was easy to set up, and kept me nice and dry ( it rained most of the second night). I would certainly recommend this tent to anyone looking for a lightweight backpacking tent .

Worth it
Ounces are lbs, lbs are miles. The backbone 1P is lightweight for the size. Fits great inside my bag. I watched some YouTube videos on set up, you definitely need to try it a couple of times before you do it on the trail. Mine didn’t come with seam sealer like some of the videos showed. But I went ahead and hit it with a coat of spray sealant. Ounce of preparation saves… you know the thing. Longevity and durability have not been tested yet. Maybe I’ll get around to an update.I’m only 5’6” and I’ve got about 16 inches at the feet for my dog or bag. Probably should’ve spent the extra 20 and got the 2P… The height in this thing is great as long as you’re not doing somersaults, but there’s plenty of room to sit down and not have your head hitting the top. Zipper access could’ve been at the head end. But don’t a deal breaker. The price you pay is worth the tent. I’m satisfied.

Good but you get what you pay for
For someone that has never used a trekking pole tent before, this was a little bit of a learning curve. But I’ll start with the positives and move into the negatives. So the reason I bought this tent is because of how light it is. And boy, is it light! Love how small it packs down as well. It’s also VERY roomy compared to my North Face stormbreaker tent – I could not believe how much headspace I had! I took this on the TCT and really enjoyed the fact that I saved a few pounds, and could stretch out in my tent after setting up. It made it so much easier to get changed and move around. I purchased the single person tent and felt it had just the perfect amount of room for me and my backpack. I am between 5-6 feet tall and I can’t imagine a 6 ft person being quite so comfortable but it was perfect for me. Also, it held up pretty well to the windy weather that we experienced. As you can see in the video, it was a rather light wind, but I thought it did well all the same. Now onto the negatives. First, it is as other reviews say. This tent does HORRIBLE in rain. We had one night of light showers and I constantly had to wake up to wipe down the ceiling when water started raining down on me. Luckily, I had an extra blanket to put over the foot of my sleeping bag so it wasn’t soaked by morning. The ceiling dips by the foot area so it is touching the bag. There are several loops on the tent and I used one of the ropes that came with it to try and tighten the ceiling a little but I’m not sure how much good I did. There is just way too much fabric in the ceiling to prevent this dip compared to the footprint. This could be user error but since there’s no instructions, I have no clue. My best advice: do not bring this tent if you expect rain. This is a one season/summer only tent. This is due to it being a one layer tent. Furthermore, and this might be important for other ladies, this tent is pretty see through. I was traveling with someone so it wasn’t that big of a deal, but I’m not sure I would like the idea of people being able to see me through the thin tent layer day or night if I was solo backpacking.Overall, you get what you pay for. This is a light tent and a good price if you don’t want to dish out $500 from a major brand. It has some major flaws but I found it was a good tent for at least three out of the 5 night trip so I’ll give it a three star instead of 1.

Learning curve.
Worked great even with rain. Was kind if an ass to put up the first time. Would recommend running a test in your back yard before a trip. Very light and easy to repack into pouch.

If you are on the fence about this tent BUY it, it blows the other competition out of the water in this price point, materials are high quality and I have no doubt it will last years to come. We have only used this tent once so far and we were impressed not just with the room but the ventilation this tent provides. I would buy again from this company and hopefully one day soon my next purchace will be their top quilt to go with the tent.

This tent is incredibly lite weight with fantastic water repellant technology, it offers a unique and practical design with loads of small details like a bathtub style floor, 2 functional vestibules, additional lash points for alternate securing methods, great ventilation, compression bag feature etc I recommend this 1P tent due to its efficiency in the backcountry as well the tent construction, quality and price point!
