I ordered the yellow so I can see it under water if I drop it. I don’t plan on using it in deep or turbid water, so I don’t need it to float. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. At first I ignored the directive to remove the screen protector already on the phone. I blew that off and left my screen protector on. Not a good idea. It caused the screen sensitivity to suck. So I opened it and peeled the protector off which wrecks the protector. But what a difference! I’ll need to get a new screen protector; should have added one to the same order. This thing is heavy and makes the phone bigger enough it may not fit where you’re used to carrying it. But it IS waterproof if you install it correctly. I’m using it on vacation in Hawaii, to take underwater photos, but once home I’ll put my regular, more sleek case back on. A few things not emphasized in the materials: it comes with a little wrist strap lanyard. It attaches through the bottom of the case once assembled, through the tiny triangle hole. To catch the cord and pull it through, I used a dental tool lol. It comes with extra screws, a very nice touch for those with shaky hands and slick surfaces. It comes with a textured tubular tiny alan wrench for the tiny screws. It also comes with an l-shaped alan wrench. I didn’t use it. Maybe it would be good for pushing the lanyard through. The instructions say to make sure the silicone seal is perfectly lined up. Seems obvious, but be sure to do it. I installed the screws the way you put a tire on your car. I started in the top right corner, then bottom left, and so on. Then I went through again to torque them all down thoroughly. There’s a black button on the left that pushes through front to back like wack-a-mole. That operates the ringer mute switch. My experience is with the iPhone, I don’t know how effective it would be on other brands.

So I am one of the most accident prone people I know when it comes to cell phones. I literally drop my phone at least once a week, usually from it being in my lap and I get up and it drops to the floor. I’ve been purchasing Otter boxes for years up until I decided I wanted waterproof. The last couple cases I got were waterproof, but it wasn’t long before I was dealing with a trouble using the touch screen, plus the reception quality would drop significantly. Also, the rubber ‘plugs’ would always eventually break off or be loose, therefore no longer truly waterproof.A few months ago I decided to move back to Florida and knew I’d be on the water a lot, so I did a lot of research and decided on this Beasyjoy Case for my iPhone 8 Plus. Received the package which was impeccably packed, with the tools included. I hadn’t realized that there would be screws involved, which requires a special tool, so I was a little hesitant, because there wasn’t going to be an easy way to pop out the phone if I needed to for some reason.You have to unscrew all the screws, place your phone inside, and make sure you line it up right before screwing back together or the switch on the side for silent mode won’t work. I was impressed with the quality of all the materials, and particularly impressed with the fact it is literally made with a heavy metal and durable rubber. This is NOT a lightweight case (I can’t wear this in my back pocket unless I have a belt on to keep my pants up properly, LOL). But if you want quality protection at a reasonable price, you have to have quality material.It took less than 6 hours for me to find out if it would survive a fall, because I dropped it on CONCRETE where it bounced twice and sounded awful. Both my uncle and I cringed when it dropped, and we fully expected a cracked screen just from how hard it hit the concrete.Alas, my woes were for naught! The paint was pretty scuffed in two spots, but my phone was pristine! Talk out durable!!I couldn’t have cared less about the paint, because I didn’t buy the case to look pretty, I bought it to protect my ridiculously expensive smart phone, and it absolutely did exactly that. The rubber plug at power port can be a bit of a pain to pull out for charging, but that’s perfectly fine with me because it means it’s actually plugging and sealing the phone from moisture.I have dropped it a couple more times since my purchase, and yep, held up like a champ. I also love how the rubber backside helps keep it from sliding around, there’s also a slot where you can loop through the strap they provide, and I love the bright yellow so that it’s easier to find if I drop it in the water or wherever.The touch screen works perfect! I don’t have a screen protector on the phone itself, so I think that is helping. I also made sure my phone was thoroughly clean before putting the case on it. Now it does muffle the sound a little bit, and WiFi range is shorter, but I’m a realist and understand physics. You simply can’t expect a case to be waterproof and not end up muffling the sound or range a bit. So I simply use the Bluetooth to listen to music via headphones or my sound bar.

Excellent-very happy with this case
This is an outstanding phone case. I did watch someone else’s video to help me figure out what I needed to do. It unscrewed. There is an Allen wrench and also a regular screwdriver. I didn’t notice the regular screwdriver until after I had already used the Allen wrench, which is a little more tedious. The screwdriver is great. It’s located in the box at the bottom. It is a very handy screwdriver to keep even long after this filling case is gone. Anyway, I did have to figure out how to make sure I put it together so that the mute button on the left could be Tod on and off. Once I did that, I only had to take it apart once because I did not make sure that the screen was completely wiped, and so there was a piece of lint. But this is solid with the rubberized texture around the edges, which is what I specifically wanted. I like the silver color. Around the front of the phone and part of the back I have not had any issues at all with the touchscreen since putting this case on that has its own screen protector as part of it. I definitely would recommend this phone case.

Junk, was scratched so bad my Face ID and light sensor quit working after less than a week, spend the extra money for a love mei or another brand that has the GLASS screen protector, never would have bought this junk if I knew it was cheap plastic junk, I’ll add pictures whenever I find the box for my new case that has the useless junk one in it.

The back isn’t flush and has a bubble and no way to silence ur ringer with the case on (it’s screwed together) and now I have to keep up with the tiny tools to take the case off

Survived being ran over
Accidentally dropped my phone at a gas station and left it behind – it got ran over multiple times before I went back for it. The case is dinged up but my phone is 100% fine, no scratches not warped, or broken glass including my cameras. Highly recommend!!

In fact I’d like to start off funny I may be a little jealous of it leaks in water faster than the speed of me getting hard at less than 30 seconds as opposed to the 30 minutes of waterproof testing it claimed to have passed in the installation manual lol.
